I'm back!!

Not that I really went anywhere, I have just been ridiculously busy. It's that time of semester where all your subjects decide to give you a shit heap of assessments all due at the same time, so I have been busy doing research...maybe doing a double degree was my greatest choice.

But other than Uni, it's still a busy time. I mean, I am actually working at the moment, which is unusual because for the last 6 months I have been lazy only working 4 hours a week. The money is rolling in, but that is because I got a tip, which is rare. Also got a second job, so I have busy sorting out paperwork.

In terms of the minimal social life I have, it has been interesting. Today, I went to the CBD for little nerd rage. It was a success, got some manga and anime and I hope to check it out once I finish my Uni work, which will be in about a week. I bought some manga by Yuu Watase, I can't remember what it is called, but I like her other works, so it should be good. I also bought 'Earl and Fairy'. I have read the manga of this and thought it was a decent read, so here's hoping the anime is just as good. If I remember correctly, the manga starts off with a murder, so I'm sure it good.

That's it for now, hopefully I will have another update soon, maybe when I have a bit more time.

The awkward moment when...

Two girls show up at the same dress up party in the same costume! This actually happened at a party I worked at (yes i work at parties, how awesome) and the theme was television characters. A lot of people showed up as current reality TV stars such as the Kardashians and the crew from Jersey Shore, but the two girls that showed up in the same costume really surprised me...They both showed up as Sailor Moon. Personally, Sailor Moon is awesome, I grew up with it and I still love it, more so after watching the original Japanese version. But given today's culture, it was really obscure, but also extremely awkward.

In the meantime, I also finished reading 'Boarding House of Hunks'. Overall, it was a good read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, until I reached the last chapter. So the overview of the story is pretty much about a girl and a guy who love each other, but neither of them is willing to be the 'bitch'. There are fights and kidnapping so there was some action too, and was highly. But the biggest disappointment for me is the last chapter. The manhwa literally finishes mid sentence. I was reading and reading, went to the next page and it said 'we hoped you enjoyed reading this....' blah blah blah. I would go into it more, but i really can't be bothered at the moment...maybe later

Speaking of this though, that is one of my pet hates with reading-the open ending. When I read something, I expect closure! Unless it is a series, answer my questions please. Give us an epilogue, because I read to read a story, not to make it up. If I wanted to do that, I would have stuck to reading Goosebumps choose your own adventure series (does anyone even remember that)

Also, watching the AFL on television...very disappointed. I have accepted the fact that my footytips are down the toilet this week, so I have to make it up with a perfect round next week (hoping anyways). But I reckon some of the games this week have been played in cyclonic conditions given the goal kicking accuracy. I reckon my kitty could kick better...if cats could kick footballs.

Anyways, that's about it for now, so I'm going to leave it there, but I'll be sure to post more soon-ish if I get the time. :)

The End of the World as We Know It...

Well, not really, but pretty close. The reason why I say this is because not only did I finish an assignment early, but I submitted early as well. Pretty good effort considering I could be a world champion in procrastination. If only it was so easy, I would be an Olympic champion, but maybe in the next life.

I do believe in reincarnation. It is very systematic. Basically, in my previous life, I believe i may have been a fox, i just feel it, and in the next life, I will be a vampire, Dracula style with coffins and bats, maybe something like Kuro bara Alice where spiders are my familiars. I don't know, but as I am now, I'm stuck between the two.

But yeah, unfortunately, because of Uni work, i haven't really done anything recently. But in the little free time I did find something that gave me some cheap laughs. I am currently reading a manhwa (Korean comic) called "Boarding House of Hunks" by Hwang Mi Ri and i found this wonderful product placement
Yum! There is nothing I want more when I am reading than a Snickers bar. But when i have a break, I have a KitKat, they taste better. Talking about this kind of stuff with a friend, I have decided that I will one day have my very own harem, but i'll talk about that another day

Anyway, that's about it for now, so I will leave you an image from my cat p0rn collection:
Don't worry guys, it's just my kitteh, sitting on the clothes basket...like a pedocat

CherryLove: One Small Step for Me! =D

CherryLove: One Small Step for Me! =D: Alrighty, my very first blog post! How exciting! Well, I guess I should start with a bit of an intro...Come on guys, have a read, excited to hear your thoughts :)

One Small Step for Me! =D

Alrighty, my very first blog post! How exciting! Well, I guess I should start with a bit of an intro. The about me section is just a little some to break the ice and hopefully get a few cheap laughs, but I guess I should talk a bit about my self in real life =D.

Well, firstly, I am a university student. Not only that, but I am doing a double degree, which is a cool thing to say because it makes me sound smart when I'm actually not. I love sport. Living in Melbourne, I obviously love AFL, but I also love many other sports, in particular tennis and motorsport, but please don't ask me about cars as such, I don't know anything about them ^-^.

I love television, especially shows such as The Inbetweeners (yes, I know, original) and I am particularly fond of comedy animation, including such classics like The Simpsons and South Park.

I also like to read...a lot. I like to read books, but not pop culture books such as twilight and hunger games. I find that I enjoy classic literature more, Like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Edgar Allen Poe.

I am a massive follower of Anime and Manga. I mainly read Shoujo and and Josei, which for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, it basically means stuff that is aimed at girls, so everything is so sweet it gives you a toothache. In saying this, I have watched the classics such as Pokemon and Dragonball Z, I mean, I grew up with that stuff. I will admit right now that I am a massive nerd when it comes to this stuff.

I love my cats, I have two black cats, so i am not very superstitious, in fact, I consider Friday the 13th to be lucky days for me.

So, with this blog, I will talk about my day to day life in the off chance that something out of the ordinary happens (like I see a unicorn or something) but more than anything else, I would like to branch out to people who have similar interests to me, so more often than not, I will probably be posting and summarizing about stuff i have seen, did or read and offer my insight on it, so, if I am talking about something and you have no clue what I am talking about, then that's ok, because my interests are unique :),

So I think that should just about do it. Any questions you have for me, feel free to ask on the message board and I will try to answer. Also, if you like what you have seen so far, feel free to follow me on twitter @himexcherry

Thank You :)
